What's new

What shipped, in the order it shipped

27 releases since August, written for the people who run a migration practice. Every entry says what your firm can now do; the page it links to says how.

September 2026

Coming

Mobile app - two roles, one app

Harper is in your pocket today. The next release of the mobile app carries the agent's inbox and the client's own portal in the same app, so a firm and its clients meet on one screen. Announced now; no ship date promised.

  • Agents get the inbox, the Today list and push notifications on the phone.
  • Clients get their portal - documents, questionnaires, invoices and appointments - without a browser.
  • Same account, same permissions, same data scope as the web app.

Every notification you switch on now rings

Ten notification types had a toggle and never fired - invoice paid, invoice overdue, appointment booked or cancelled, a blueprint applied, a document signed. Every one now reaches the bell, the email and push - and the Push switch genuinely turns push off.

  • Invoice paid fires once whether it was marked by hand, settled through Xero or paid by card.
  • Invoice overdue fires the morning it ages, on your firm's own calendar.
  • A signing request that expires is now a real event with a real notification.
  • Muting a class of notification mutes its push everywhere, including scheduled VEVO checks.

A partner can refer a person from their own portal

Referral partners had to email you a name and you keyed in the rest. A partner now types a name and an email in their portal; the person lands on your hosted intake form, the client is created on submission and the partner's commission agreement is attached at the same moment.

  • The client header says who referred this person and on what terms.
  • Sponsors and partners use the same door; nothing is created until the person actually submits.

The client record says when it stopped being current

A stale answer on a migration file is not refused at lodgement; it comes back months later as a request for information. Every section of the record now shows when a person last confirmed it, the client list can filter to records that need a check-in and the client can confirm from their portal.

  • A Needs check-in chip on the client list, shareable through the URL.
  • The client sees when your firm last checked each block with them and can confirm it is still current.
  • Ask to confirm details from the record header - at most once a month, never automatic.
  • The dashboard's Today list counts clients due a check-in and lists today's confirmed appointments on your firm's own clock.

A no-show has a way back

Send rebooking link on a no-show or cancelled appointment emails the client their own portal link, once. The appointment page says whether the 24-hour and 1-hour reminders went out; an appointment row in the inbox opens that appointment.

  • Explicit rather than automatic, because some no-shows are billable.
  • A second press reports the earlier send instead of sending again.

Your signature, on every letter and the 956A

Upload the signature you sign with once, in Settings, alongside drawing or typing one. Letters that promised the agent's signature now carry it; the Form 956A's agent declaration box no longer goes out blank.

  • A scanned JPEG arrives as exactly the image a drawn signature would.
  • A form sent on its own from the Forms tab now tells the client it was sent.
  • A letter never fails to send because a signature is missing - the placeholder renders nothing instead.

A feature you do not have is locked, not hidden

Clicking a module your plan does not include used to land you on the billing page. It now renders the module's own page with three sentences on what it does and one button: buy it where it carries a price, switch it on where it is free or ask us where it is not priced yet.

  • Colleges and Partners are free on Pro and an admin switches them on in one click.
  • Members see the same page with one line asking them to talk to their admin.
  • Cancelling an add-on takes back that add-on and nothing else.
  • The news feed stays free for every firm, inside Social Studio's Sources tab and at its own address.

One brand, three outputs, one Save

Settings then Branding was two forms with two save buttons. It is now three cards in one column with a preview that follows you - the report while you edit the kit, the post while you edit the layouts - one palette aimed by a role chip and one Save that names what it will write.

  • Letterhead, square and light-on-dark marks sit together with their roles written on each.
  • Layouts are drawn from the real template at true size, so a thumbnail cannot lie.
  • Leaving with unsaved changes warns you.

Social Studio posts look like your firm

Eight layouts, three canvases including 4:5 for Instagram, six background treatments and a brand kit that reaches all of them. The news feed is a Sources tab inside the studio, a hand-drafted post takes a slot on your calendar and a readability warning tells you when a colour pairing would not pass.

  • Broadsheet, Quote, Ledger, Banner and Duotone join Editorial, Spotlight and Minimal.
  • Set the paper and the ink yourself or add a background photograph of your own.
  • Nothing changes for an existing firm until it opens the kit and chooses something.
  • The queue shows the exact image an admin is approving; what publishes is what was approved.

Social Studio gets a library, a planner and a calendar

A quiet week is still a week. Twenty-nine evergreen explainers about Australian migration process, each citing a government page, join the news feed as material. Every Monday a planner proposes the week on your cadence; a calendar shows all of it at once.

  • Nothing you skipped comes back for ninety days; nothing already offered comes back at all.
  • The monthly cap counts one post per channel, so a three-channel firm cannot spend its month in ten days.
  • Optional milestone posts about your firm's own granted applications, off unless you turn them on and never below three.
  • Facebook and Instagram are built and wait on Meta's app review; X is not connectable and the copy is still written so you can post it by hand.

Data deletion has a page

What ImmiIQ holds when a firm connects a Facebook Page, an Instagram Business account or a LinkedIn organisation, what it never receives and the two ways to have it deleted. Disconnecting erases the credential on the spot; one email removes the rest.

  • Requests sent from Facebook are recorded and answered with a confirmation code.
  • Posts already published live on your own page and only you can take them down.

Social Studio publishes to LinkedIn, only after somebody says yes

Connect your firm's LinkedIn page and Social Studio prepares branded posts on the schedule you choose. A post waits for an admin to approve, edit or skip it. One that reaches its time unapproved expires unposted - it is never published late.

  • Nothing publishes twice; the database guarantees it.
  • Every post keeps the news item it came from, so months later you can answer why you said it.
  • Members can be allowed to edit captions; approval stays with admins and cannot be delegated.
  • Phase one shipped the same day: every news item downloadable as a square and a LinkedIn card in your own brand.

Read a government form before it goes - and know it went

Every form in the family has a Preview under it on the Forms tab - the filled PDF, with no document created and no email sent. The covering email now carries the filled form beside the signing link; a send that is refused leaves a row saying why.

  • Correcting a client's email re-addresses every outstanding request for them; Resend sends the same link again from your own mailbox.
  • A form sent through your connected mailbox carries attachments and a failed send says so.
  • The signing page says in one sentence that reading a form is not signing it.

eLodgement moves into the extension

ImmiIQ no longer signs in to ImmiAccount or holds a password for it. The eLodge Chrome extension fills each page in your own browser while you review it; you press submit. A readiness rail on every client page says what stands between the case and a lodgement.

  • Seven subclasses. The extension never fills a declaration page.
  • The lodgement register keeps the trail - page reached, fields filled, conflicts, the TRN on submission.
  • VEVO Agent lookups follow the same path, in your own session.

Signing in got harder to break

The sign-in link can no longer be spent by a corporate mail scanner before you click it. Signing in from a new location asks for a six-digit code instead of a link; the screen now says which of the two it sent you.

  • An expired, used or unrecognised link says which it was and offers a fresh one with your address filled in.
  • Six wrong codes in fifteen minutes lock the account for thirty.
  • A one-click revoke link travels with every new-location email.

Employer referrals you can see and undo

An employer could refer an employee and then never hear another thing. There is now a referrals list on the sponsor portal's Roster tab and on the firm's sponsor record - sent, joined, lapsed or withdrawn - and HR can resend or withdraw an invitation.

  • Resending mints a new link and retires the old one; the email says so.
  • Withdrawing frees the address so the person can be referred again.
  • The hosted intake form greets a referred person by naming who introduced them.

The employer record grows a profile

Sponsorship work asks an employer the same forty questions every time. The sponsor record now holds them as eight confirmable sections - identity, registration, directors, financials, contact, workforce, sponsorship and declarations - and the employer can read and confirm its own profile in its portal.

  • Positions is its own tab, with the annual market salary rate comparison per role.
  • A confirmation by the employer is stamped as the employer's, not the firm's.
  • The training benchmark reads payroll off the financial year row.

The client record can be edited where it is read

Employment, education and travel histories could only be changed by the client, in the portal. An agent on the phone can now edit them in place, through the same path the portal writes, with the same confirmation stamps. English test results are proper rows with a date, a band, points and a validity chip.

  • Every name a person has been known by and every citizenship they hold, under Identity.
  • One shared dropzone everywhere you upload: drag, click, paste or keyboard, with refusals that name the file.
  • Portal tabs are one short word each in all nine languages and never wrap.

Write down what should happen automatically

A firm can now say when X happens, do Y. The first trigger is a client being created - a referred employee submits your hosted intake form and the follow-up begins. The actions are creating a task for your team and emailing the client one of your own templates.

  • Rules are created switched off; arming is admin-only and confirmed.
  • An automated send passes every check a person's send passes, including a signed Costs Service Agreement.
  • Every run is recorded, so why did this client get that email has an answer.

Questionnaires, both halves

The client could answer a questionnaire; the firm could not send one. There is now an Intake tab on the client record, a firm-wide intake queue, acceptance section by section and a chase that runs on its own ladder and stops on day twelve. Ten years of addresses are asked for the way Form 80 asks.

  • A client's free-text answer can be tidied - spelling, grammar, length - and never given a fact they did not write.
  • The client portal now shows your replies, marks a new one and re-checks when the tab comes back.
  • A dead portal link sends the client back to the code screen with the right sentence, not an empty portal.
  • Uploads keep their own characters; a client named in Chinese or Arabic is named in their own script.

Three sponsor obligations the calendar never carried

Notifiable events with their 28-day clock, nomination lapse twelve months after approval and the eleven kinds of record a sponsor must keep now sit on the same compliance calendar as the levy, the benchmark and the monitoring visit, with the same tiered reminders.

  • Registering an event opens its due date; the surface says plainly that it does not notify the Department for you.
  • A lapse warning is suppressed while the nominee's visa is undetermined, which is what the regulation says.
  • Alerts for a per-person obligation name the person.

Government forms stop being invisible

Forms 956, 956A, 1022 and 1023 were mapped and tested and almost no firm knew it. The Forms tab now renders for every firm: with the module off it names the forms ImmiIQ can fill and gives an admin one way to turn it on, after acknowledging that the firm checks each form before it goes for signature.

  • The acknowledgement is recorded with who accepted it and when.
  • A weekly sweep compares each blank against the Department's published PDF and alerts the day an edition changes.
  • The Pre-Fill Reference Sheet carries the address history in Form 80's own order.

Clients can see what they have been billed and paid

The client portal grows an Invoices tab: their own invoices and receipts, billed, paid, outstanding and overdue per currency, plus your payment link while something is still owed. Read-only; drafts and cancelled invoices are withheld.

  • Figures are totalled per currency and never across them.
  • Receipts stay visible whatever later happened to the bill.

Dropbox, everywhere we say so

Dropbox had worked as a backup destination since it shipped and nothing outside the app admitted it. The pricing table, the features page, the integrations marketplace, the knowledge base and Nova now all name it beside Google Drive, OneDrive and S3.

  • A full Dropbox landing page, cross-linked from the Drive and OneDrive ones.

A client can decline to sign; CPD certificates are files

The signing page has a decline control with an optional reason in the client's own words; the file records it and you can issue a fresh request afterwards. CPD certificates are uploaded and held, so the export you hand the regulator is evidence rather than a list of expired links.

  • The requesting agent is told, in app and by email, with the reason.
  • The OMARA export names each certificate and says it is held on file.

Record a payment, issue a receipt, chase what is overdue

A practice had no way to acknowledge money it had received. Record a payment against an invoice or on account and a numbered receipt is issued, branded from your firm. A part payment leaves the balance honest, an overpayment is refused with the surplus named and invoices age to overdue on your own calendar.

  • Overdue means past the end of the due day where your firm is, not UTC midnight.
  • A logged call reads like a call - direction, number, duration, outcome and the voicemail transcript.
  • Every automated reminder files a note on the client's own record saying what was sent and how.

A refused matter can say it is under review

A tribunal review, a ministerial intervention or a judicial review is now a linked case under the refused application, with its own dates, fee and outcome. The refusal is never rewritten; the parent reads Refused - under review while the review is live; both portals say so.

  • Lodge review opens the child from a refused case and refuses a second live review of the same refusal.
  • Client status and case status are now written down as different things; an employer never sees your CRM funnel.

The same human is no longer two client files

A website enquiry, a bulk import and a manual add of the same person are flagged on the client list, reviewed on one page and warned about before a second file exists. Matching uses passport, email, name-plus-phone and name-plus-mailbox; a shared phone on its own is never a match.

  • Merge is deliberately not shipped until it is reversible.
  • A branch you close stops consuming seats, client slots and storage.
